Can you be pregnant without a positive pregnancy test?
My sister in law is 4 1/2 weeks late for her period. She hasn’t ever had this problem before. She can feel that there is something in her stomach, like a baby. Having nausiosness, tender breasts, extra saliva just like when she was pregnant before. She has taken several home pregnancy tests and a blood test at the doctor this week. All came back negative. Is she pregnant? If not, what could it be?

hmm..stress can make your periods late.. i would recommend her having an ultrasound though.. if she request it they can find out for sure.

it could maybe just be to early to tell? but that really cant be if she is 4 1/2 weeks late? Thats something she needs to take up w/ her doc.
It still might be too early to tell, it really depends on when she might have gotten pregnant. If she got pregnant right before her period was due it is still too early.
If she were pregnant, she wouldn’t feel anything in her belly at this point as it is too early.
Also, there are all sorts of reasons for being late or missing a period other than pregnancy, including hormonal fluctuations, skipped ovulation, stress, illness, recent weight loss/gain, certain medications, changes in diet. The doctor should have been able to offer a work up to figure this out.
blood test are very accurate. so i would say shes not
she could still be pregnant, just not showing up on tests yet! OH AND YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FEEL THE BABY AT 41/2 WEEKS! as if she was pregnant it would be the size of a peanut…
If the tests aren’t positive then no.
Well, my friend took home pregnancy test and took blood from her and she wind up being pregnant. She should talk to her doctor about every possible thing she needs to do about the situation. It could be stress or menopause, how old is she?
YES! I was pregnant without a positive test, 4 months into it, I went back to the doctor and had an ultrasound. She really needs to get checked out with an ultrasound tho in case it is something else. If she is pregnant…then she’ll need to start the vitamins, etc.
