Unfortunately having diarrhea while pregnant is pretty common. It’s caused by a number of things such as lactose intolerance, dietary or hormonal changes, or sensitivities to certain foods. It’s mostly caused because your hormones are all crazy. It’s typically short lived, and not something to be concerned about. However, if you have diarrhea along with severe vomiting that’s when you should consult a doctor to help prevent dehydration.

Yes I seem to have had it more than the need to throw up. I get IBS anyway so I tend to have an irritable stomach after certain foods, but it has been more common and more intense during this pregnancy.
I have suffered on and off throughout my pregnancy. My midwife told me to drink plenty of water, avoid caffeine, and take a probiotic drink daily. The reason it can be risky in late pregnancy (i.e. 34 weeks on) is because a really bad bout can start contractions. Best to try and regulate your eating habbits now and get onto the probiotics early.
