It could either be hcg leftover from the ectopic or a new pregnancy. Did your doctor not monitor you hcg levels? Typically after a miscarriage/ectopic pregnancy, a doctor will take your blood every so many days/weeks to monitor that your hcg level is lowering appropriately, so that you aren’t faced with this kind of situation. It could take 4 weeks for your hcg to get back down to “non pregnant” but I would think by now, your level should have been down. I suggest you get bloodwork done at your doctor.
