Roseola exposure during 1st trimester of pregnancy?
My son had roseola on May 10 and ended around the 14th, the problem is that I discovered I got pregnant by around that time, if you calculate, my due date is Jan 23rd 2008. Could I have been exposed? What can happen if I was exposed to it? I am paranoid about what will happen to the baby I am carrying. I will be seeing my OB but I will appreciate any insight you might have. Thanks…
Worried,
Me

It doesn’t sound as if you have anything to worry about. What good does it do to worry? Relax, have a nice pregnancy!

You don’t need to worry. Here’s a good website.
when you go to your Dr apt inform her or him that you was exposed and go from there,What I have read there is little or no affects on the baby you are expecting.Congrat on the new bundle of Joy.
I run and in home day care and just had my second daughter a month ago. When I was in my first trimester there was a little girl that had Roseola. The doctor said that their was little to no risk at all to my unborn child. It usually occurs between 6 and 24 months of age. The doctor told me that more than likely all adults have had it and may not have known it. I would just make sure that I talk with my OB about it. Good Luck!!
hi
I’m going through something similar i came in contact with slap cheek also known as 5ths disease and well it sounds pretty similar to roseola my risks are the same that i may miscarry as I’m only 15 weeks I’m hoping I’m immune Ive had a blood test today to check for antibodies
I’m sure your probably immune to this and they will more than likely check for the antibodies
crossed fingers for both of us
good luck
