whats the diference between menstrual cramps and pregnancy cramps?
Hi,
I am trying to conceive. My menstrual period isnt due for a week. And i have had soem minor on and off symptoms of pregnancy–not enough for a sure sign of it. Anyway I fell lsight cramping in my abdomen but in the mddle of it—not lower down on top of the vaginal area where most people say you feel them. I have no idea what to think abt these cramps because I dont get cramping with my period–only headaches. So does anyoen knwo the difference?

Period cramping and preg cramping are not that much different but it does depend on the woman. Different women have different types. I, myself, had major cramping in my lower stomach when I gave birth to my son. Some women feel a lower back pain.
The best thing for you to do is go see a doctor. Tell the doctor what you are feeling and he can best tell you what it is.
i can help you figure out where the cramps are but not the total physical thing
the period cramps right above the pubic bone
the pregnant cramps depend on how far along you could be ….
pregnant cramps usually involve the lower back as well..
if miscarriage, pains in lower belly along with severe back pain
regular pregnant, most in lower abd and lower back associated with headaches and muscular aches…
since you are beginning, you are trying to distinguish to find out more about it…
hope this helps..
maybe be just stomach cramping and if pregnant, this could mean sickness maybe…morning sickness, i mean
Your not supposed to have cramps during pregnacy, but I had a few they just are like a sharp pain, then they go away fast, unlike period cramps that last for a moment or two. These just make you want to double over and cry then in like 5 seconds your fine again. lol
Good luck
Dear, It is possible that you have already conceived a beautiful baby and the cramping you feel is from ‘implantation’ of the fertilized egg into the lining of your uterus where the placenta, the baby’s home inside your womb allowing nutrients to flow through to him/her, is being formed.
Please, see you DR. A.S.A.P. for a concrete answer. Good luck and , hopefully, congratulations.
the difference is when pregnant its more of a pulling sensation in your lower stomach than a full blown period cramp. well thats how it was for me. get a test ( if your from england) the first response one and then take it around 4 days before your period
i think they are way too similar to tell the diffrence actually. i swore my period was about to start at any second but never did. I’m 16 weeks pregnant and still get those pms type cramps mildly on occassion. The only thing I noticed that was seriously diffrent before my period was even late though was that I had major exhaustion issues. I was soooo tired, I knew something was up!
